Ricky Ponting rested for Australia Day
Despite criticism about Australia's rotation policy and our big loss on Sunday, Ricky Ponting is being rested against Sri Lanka on Australia Day. I'm all for it if it lets the selectors blood different (hopefully younger) players in an effort to find the best squad for the World Cup. A little disruption is okay if it helps separate the chaff (Damien Martyn) from the wheat (Phil Jaques). However, it's a shame Jaques isn't selected for Thursday's match - Brad Hodge is in. His time will come though.
