Gilchrist seeks to brings love back into cricket

After Adam Gilchrist was fined 40% of his match fee for dissent, now Gilchrist is pursuing heart-to-hearts with the umpires. Gilchrist is about as touchy-feely as an Australian cricketer gets, in the past pining for hugs from his teammates. Hopefully a few cuddles with the umpires should ease any player-umpire tension. Gilly, just watch out for Billy Bowden though - that guy's all hands!

I was watching the match when Pollock hugged Aleem Dar - I LOLed. You could almost see the cogs whirring in Graeme Smith's head - if he lost the match, the tri-series would've been virtually over for SA and he would've returned home in disgrace. That wicket pretty much sealed the match for them and kept SA in the hunt as well as Graeme Smith's head still safely on his shoulders.

Sharp contrast between Aust and SA though - Gilly backchats, Pollock hugs. Obviously Gilly is taking a leaf out of SA's books.
