SCG consider player tunnel after Symonds incident
Okay, this is security concern gone mad as Cricket NSW are considering building a tunnel between the players' dressing room and the field at the SCG. This is after the second final between Australia and Sri Lanka where Andrew Symonds prodded away a spectator with his bat. Another option being considered is a perspex walkway. Why not elevate it - give the crowd an "Underwater World" sensation. Hello!?! Haven't you people heard of fences? I hear they're good for separating two areas, like a crowd on one side and a cricketer on the other. Still, the tunnel idea does have merit. I'd like the tunnel to extend all the way out to the middle so the new batsman emerges at the crease, slowly rising from the ground like Russell Crowe at the end of Gladiator. When an umpire gives a batsman out, instead of raising the finger, he presses a button that opens a trapdoor beneath the batsman's feet. Add a smoke machine and a few lasers and it may be just that extra bit of eye-candy Channel 9 were looking for to snazz up the game.

Gladiator style entry-exit .. ROFL
man you got wild imagination.
Imagine The kind of Trapdoor needed to support weight of Likes of Inzy :-), best is ICC will have to come up with new clauses if angry fielding team pulls the plug on some erring umpire ;-)
