Andre Nel prefers Australian crowds to South African
Andre Nel has made the rather surprising statement that he prefers the vocal Australian mobs to the shy, retiring South African crowds:
"It's actually quite weird, our crowds are pretty quiet compared to Australian crowds. Australian crowds sort of fire you up more. Our crowds are a bit quiet and very, like against us sometimes." Asked if he missed Australia crowds, Nel said: "I do actually, they sort of fire you up and gets me going."What South African Cricket need to do is fork out the money to fly over the most abusive, virulent Australians they can find (but not the racists - there are limits). Reserve the seats along the player's causeway so they can give Nel a spray whenever he goes onto the field. That alone should be worth several wickets per day.
