Misbah ul Haq's tragic run out

Losing your wicket is always painful. Even worse is losing it in a moment of stupidity (I'm thinking Damien Martyn's runout in the 2005 Ashes when Michael Vaughan caught him jogging). But you have to feel for Misbah ul Haq, not far from a century in a closely fought Test match between Pakistan and India, after this embarrassing effort:

Thanks to Jeet for the heads up.

That's the funniest thing I've seen since Graham Gooch handled the ball!

Misbah always manages to wreck his good work.

What was the match position? Did it affect the result?

I only ask this because of the Allan Donald-type incidents and Bob Woolmer-esque problem which have affected our beloved game of late...

I mean, what were the odds????????

I think Pakistan were slightly behind India - it was a pretty tight contest. But I highly doubt it was anything dodgy - you couldn't possibly plan something like that. The look on the batsman's face is the funniest thing in that clip - he's absolutely distraught.

Misbah is getting a reputation of being "out of mind" in important situations. His mind goes blank.

It just wouldn't be Pakistan without at least one completely insane team-member. Inzi's about to retire and Ahktar is injury prone, perhaps Misbah will be the one to hold up the crazy end of the looney tunes for a while.

Who could forget Afridi's brain explosion when he tried to gouge a hole in the pitch for his bowlers.

They're a regular comedy act ;)

How bout the time when Shoaib hit Afridi with his bat cause Afridi was trying to get between him, Asif and the nandrolene. Ah the hilarity.
