Sonny Bill liked Roy's streaker hit - Gillmeister not so impressed
Some of rugby league's greatest tacklers have rated Andrew Symond's shoulder hit on the Gabba streaker:
Bulldogs superstar Sonny Bill Williams was watching on television. "Hmmm, I'd be happy with that," the Kiwi international mused."I'm glad he chose cricket, by the looks of that tackle," Williams said yesterday. "Or if he did, I would like him in my side. He got that streaker horizontal. It's always a good sign of a big tackle when you can get both of the other guy's feet off the ground.
"I'd definitely like to have a tackle like that on my resume … And I don't think that streaker will be running onto cricket grounds any more."
Glowing praise from arguably the "greatest exponent of the shoulder charge in rugby league". However, rugby league's greatest ever tackler (and I'm not just saying that cause I'm a Queenslander) is undoubtedly Trevor Gillmeister, who wasn't quite so glowing with his praise:
"He didn't drive through properly. "He didn't finish the tackle off. And if he's ever going to make it in rugby league, he might want to put a cheap shot in there somewhere, too."

Andrew Symonds vs streaker
I missed the video footage of Andrew Symond's demolishing the Brisbane streaker like a flighted Piyush Chawla legspinner. Where would the blogosphere be without YouTube?

Australia vs India, 2nd Final
Australia gives lots of reasons for losing matches. Dead rubber syndrome. End of season burn-out. Injury. Retirements. Jetlag. Umpiring decisions. Substitute fielders. God.
But Australia lost the 1st final for two simple reasons. We batted like crap, Tendulkar batted like a champion. Somehow the Australian top order need to reverse a season-long trend of poor form that has been around regardless of injuries, season burn-out or divine intervention. No excuses, boys, keep your eye on the ball and smash those Indian youngsters!
My prediction. If Australia bat second, they'll win. The reason? The JC curse. If I'm ever unable to watch Gilly bat, he does something incredible. While at a Christmas Carols event, he scored the 2nd ever fastest Test century. Last week when Channel 9 were airing news and current affairs, Gilly scored 80 off a handful of balls. Today being a local game, only the first few hours are being televised. If Australia bat first, I'll watch Gilly smash a few boundaries through the covers then sky one to mid-on. If Australia bat second, I'll listen on the radio as he scores a century off 70 balls and Australia chase India's total comfortably.

Australia vs India, 1st Final
There's a lot of niggle going into this game with several antagonistic relationships. Ponting has a tense relationship with Harbhajan Singh. Matt Hayden has been exchanging barbs with Harbhajan Singh. Andrew Symonds has had a racial row with Harbhajan Singh. Hmm, anyone detect a pattern forming? Should be a hard fought game of cricket between two strong willed, skillful teams. Australia to win, of course. Live scorecard
