Australia vs New Zealand, Chappell Hadlee Game 1
What happens after the school bully gets pounded by an even bigger school bully? Usually, they look around for a small, easy victim to restore their shattered ego. Enter New Zealand. But wait, while the Kiwis may suck at Test level, they are the one team that threatened Australia in 50 over cricket even in our golden age. Never forget New Zealand won in a clean sweep, just before our resounding world cup victory in 2007.
So will New Zealand smell blood in the water and pounce on a demoralised, exhausted Australian team? I don't think so. More likely, Australia will look to restore pride and come out all guns blazing on a lesser opponent. They won't knock back the #1 ICC ranking if it comes along either.

This is getting silly now - time for a change in the captain and vice captain dept. (they have both been run out).
It's was sweetness and light when we were winning almost every game thanks to now-retired legends wasn't it? Tests, ODIs, WCups, no dramas...
Warner? Yeah, good slogger in the LITE game maybe but only one teeny step up to more conventional cricket has him bewildered. Captain's input would be nil I suspect as he longs for that tool Symmonds back to save a game or two. His potential is being squandered by Ponting and Michael 'throw-a-sickie' Clarke.
